CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Officials say 37-year-old Stephanie Bennett was driving a Ford Explorer and was traveling east on Gibbon Road when she drove off the right side of the road.
Police say Bennett overcorrected to the left and entered back onto the road into the oncoming traffic lane, where she then overcorrected to the right and lost control of the vehicle.
Investigators say the Ford Explorer drove off the right side of the road and rolled over. The vehicle came to final rest on its left side approximately 30 feet off the road in a field.
Officials say the right front passenger, Leonilla Farber, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Bennett and two juveniles were transported to CMC-Main with non-life threatening injuries.
CMPD says that Bennett was charged with Misdemeanor Death by Vehicle.
Speed and alcohol are not factors in this crash.
This crash is currently under investigation.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One person is dead and three others are injured after an accident involving an overturned vehicle at Old Statesville Road and Gibbon Road Saturday afternoon.
Officials say the three victims were transported to Carolinas Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Medic said one person was ejected and one person was pinned under the car.
