Hurricane Watches will likely be issued late Friday or early Saturday for portions of the Lesser Antilles.

Other Systems:

  • A broad area of low pressure has developed in the northwestern Caribbean Sea. This is unorganized right now, but some development is possible as this low moves into the southwestern Gulf of Mexico. This will not impact the Carolinas.
  • There is also a tropical wave in the far eastern Atlantic. The National Hurricane Center is giving this a low 30% chance of tropical formation over the next week or so. Something to watch, but it is too far out right now.
