FLORIDA–Six gay couples in Florida are suing the state for the right to marry.
The lawsuit argues that the state’s ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional.
Current Governor, Republican, Rick Scott, has already said he supports “traditional marriage.”
The suit would take the argument to the state supreme court, 17 states already allow same sex marriage but Florida would become the first southern state.
