FAYETTEVILLE, NC — Tuesday night President-elect Donald Trump made a visit to the Crown Coliseum as part of his USA Thank You Tour 2016.

Trump has been traveling around the country following the November 8th election to thank supporters for casting their ballot for him after one of the most heated and controversial elections in U.S. history.

During his speech the President-elect laid out plans for the future of the country and its citizens on both a domestic and world stage. Trump emphasized things like healthcare reform, tax cuts for the middle class and businesses, job creation, care and protections for veterans, fixing illegal immigration, and rebuilding a depleted military.

Trump said the U.S. will seek peace through strength under his administration. To help lead that cause, Trump formally announced his nomination of Retired Marine Corp. General James “Mad Dog” Mattis as Secretary of Defense.

Reports say Trump is scheduled to meet with NC Governor Pat McCrory Wednesday at Trump Tower in NYC. McCrory conceded the NC Governor’s race to Democratic challenger Roy Cooper Monday.
