LANCASTER, S.C. – A 78-year-old woman was killed and two others were injured following a collision in Lancaster on Friday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
It happened around 9:45 a.m. on SC 9 (Pageland Highway) near Eastway Drive, approximately three miles east of Lancaster, South Carolina.
The highway patrol said a Honda sedan and a Nissan SUV traveling in opposite directions on SC 9 collided head-on.
The Honda driver, Judy Stacks, of Lancaster, was pronounced dead at the scene Both occupants in the Nissan vehicle were injured and transported to a local hospital.
No further details on the crash have been released at this time.
This collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
