Discussion
It will be a scorcher with a heat advisory in effect from 11am/12pm until 8pm as heat indices reach 105-107 for parts of the Piedmont. Overall storm chances have decreased, but an isolated storm or two will still be possible with the best chance for storms in the mountains. The remnants of Beryl are being steered northeastward into the Ohio Valley. A cold front also associated with this upper level pattern will move through the Carolinas tomorrow bringing some rain and storms, generally east of I-77 before it stalls near the coast. Drier air will filter in Thursday, leading to a nice drop in humidity. The stalled front will drift inland bringing back some low level moisture by Friday, bringing on morer rain and storm chances and cooler temps overall with highs in the mid 80s. A typical summertime pattern will be the focus for the weekend as the front washes out. Highs will climb back into the low to mid 90s with isolated to widely scattered storm chances.
