CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Investigators say they charged a man with involuntary manslaughter and reckless driving after he hit and killed a pedestrian on Independence Boulevard.
Police say Wayne Daniel was driving at a high rate of speed and in a careless and reckless manner when he hit and killed Robert Melton just before midnight on December 11th.
Detectives say Daniel remained at the scene and was not impaired on alcohol or drugs. Daniel was arrested on December 13th. The investigation is ongoing.
