CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say they arrested a man for stabbing a woman to death in south Charlotte.
Jarel Moore has been charged with murdering Daphne Ellis. Investigators say the stabbing happened on November 15th on South Boulevard. Ellis was taken to a local hospital but died from her injuries on December 11th.
During the investigation, police say they determined that Ellis and Moore had been involved in a previous dating relationship. Moore was identified as the suspect and police obtained warrants for his arrest.
On November 17th, Moore was arrested and charged with communicating threats, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and attempted murder. Moore was already in custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and will now be charged with murder.
