Forget the Polar Vortex… that’s so two weeks ago. Β And “snowstorm” or “blizzard” is just too blasΓ©. Β No hyperbole, you know? Β
This time, America is getting an “Arctic Bombogenesis”! Β But do you have any idea what that is? Β We actually looked it up, and it’s not a “real” weather term. Β For weather people, it’s kind of like saying something is “ginormous”. Β It’s two real words combined into a fake word that becomes a real word. Β
“Bombogenesis” is actually a “rapidly intensifying storm that forms between a cold polar air mass and a much warmer air mass”… and it sounds really cool.
But does anybody besides usβand now youβactually know what it means?
