4 People Charged In Breaking Into Lincoln County Churches

LINCOLNTON, N.C. – Officials have arrested two men with breaking into several Lincoln County churches. Police say they are looking for two more people charged in this same case.

Officers have arrested Jesse Lee Lankford, 18, and Joshua Cody Ayers, 16, both of Cherryville, N.C. Lankford was arrested a placed under a $20,000 secured bond.  Ayers is charged with Breaking and Entering a Place of Worship, Burglary, Possession of Stolen Goods, and Conspiracy to Commit Breaking and Entering.

Officials say Ayers remains in the Gaston County Jail on unrelated charges.

Officers say fingerprints led to a suspect in the Breaking and Entering at Webb’s Chapel Church in Gaston County. Police interviewed the suspect that then led to the identity of the suspects in the Lincoln County break-ins.

Police are looking for Kathrine Stewart Norrick, 26  and Jonathan Tyler Beavers, 21, who have not been arrested.

Norrick and Beavers are charged with three counts of Breaking and Entering a Place of Worship, two counts of Burglary and one count of Conspiracy.
