Monroe Shooting Under Investigation

MONROE, N.C. – Police are investigating a shooting in Monroe that left one person in critical condition, the police department said.

It happened around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday night on Maurice Street near East Hudson Street. There, a man was found with a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital.

He is in critical condition at this time.

No additional details about the shooting were released, but police are actively investigating the incident. It is believed to be an isolated incident, police said.
