Charlotte’s First Play Cafe For Toddlers And Parents Host Grand Opening In Highland Creek

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – This summer, a Charlotte husband and wife team will open its new sip, learn, and grow café concept space geared towards parents of toddlers. Stacy and Michael Baker will open Grow Café to fill the void for family-friendly outlets while fostering valuable relationships amongst neighbors and local small businesses. Grow Café will open to the public with a grand opening on Saturday, July 27, beginning at 10 a.m. at 5324 Docia Crossing Rd. Suite B, in Charlotte.

“Grow Café is fueled by my passion for children and community, coupled with my experience in early childhood education and as a mother of three amazing children,” says Stacy Baker, Co-owner of Grow Café. “Since the pandemic, it has been quite difficult to find enjoyable things to do with them. It is a dream come true to create a space that values close community connections like my generation experienced while growing up.”

On opening day guests can expect a day of fun including story time, book-themed hands on activities, floral bar, and face painting and even guest appearances by Princess Tiana and Bluey all set in an innovative and educational environment for children ages 0-6. Additional areas for older children will open in the fall. After the grand opening event, parents and caregivers will have the chance to meet a supportive community while they relax, play, or work in one of the featured workspaces.

Visitors will be tantalized by a full café menu that includes a variety of espressos, coffees, and lattes from Charlotte’s Enderly Coffee Company featuring “The Floral Arrangement” – a specialty latte made with lavender, blueberry mint and honey created by Kenya Augurson, Barista Trainer with By Any Beans Necessary. Baked goods from another local business, Beyond Amazing Donuts will also be on hand at the café. Grow Café will offer expert-led workshops, opportunities for educational play, tactile children’s activities, community play dates, and space for individual birthday parties. The café offers a VIP membership service that includes discounts on play sessions and private parties for families with one child or multiple children. Additionally, the founders have launched a crowdfunding campaign with a goal to raise $30,000 to help make the café an even more engaging community hub. To reserve open play time at Grow Café and during the grand opening, registrants are asked to visit the Grow Café website.

The event is free and open to the public. Press is invited to RSVP to Dana@LatoyaSEvans.com.
