Mecklenburg County, NC — Mecklenburg County’s Land Use and Environmental Services Agency’s (LUESA) office will continue to be closed Wednesday, July 24, 2024, due to ongoing repair and maintenance work on the water main. This is an extension of the closing that started on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.
Customers will not be able to receive in-person services at the LUESA office location, 2145 Suttle Ave., Charlotte, NC 28208. Online and remote LUESA staff will continue to work. The repair work is rescheduled to be finished late Wednesday and the County anticipates the building will be open for business as usual Thursday.
Departments affected include Air Quality, Code Enforcement, Geospatial Information Services (GIS), Solid Waste and Recycling, and Storm Water Services.
Only the Suttle Avenue office location is affected. All other LUESA locations are open. Code Enforcement inspectors will remain in the field. Residents who are dropping off recyclables or other materials can continue to use the County’s Full-Service Drop-Off Centers.
