Suspect Now Facing Murder Charges Following Homicide In Albemarle
The Latest:
Suspect, Damani Wall, 18, faces upgraded charges in connection to a homicide that occurred in Albemarle on Wednesday, July 24. Wall is now charged with first-degree murder and attempted armed robbery.
Wall was booked into the Stanly County Jail and previously facing the following charges:
Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
The case remains under investigation and additional charges may be filed. Investigation indicates this was not a random act and that the parties involved were known to one another.

ALBEMARLE, N.C. – Police are searching for two 18-year-old men wanted in connection to a homicide in Albemarle on Wednesday morning.
Damani Jacquez Wall and Jamie Jermaine Mack are wanted on the charge of assault with deadly weapon, intent to kill, inflict serious injury.
Around 10:30 a.m., police responded to North 6th Street where they found an 18-year-old dead. The victim was identified as Dy’Zavious Izayah Bivens.
