Tom Hunter Road Homicide Suspect In Custody

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A suspect has been taken into custody in connection to the homicide on Tom Hunter Road in north Charlotte last month.

Durell Sheridan, 31, was arrested Tuesday on an unrelated order for his arrest, police said. He was interviewed and transferred into the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheridan has been charged with murder.

The shooting happened on Sunday, June 2nd around 1:45 a.m. Pierre McClain, 39, was found dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.

The investigation into the homicide is still ongoing.
