Woman Hit, Killed By Train In Southwest Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A woman lying on railroad tracks was struck and killed by a train Friday morning in southwest Charlotte.

Around 9:45 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of Peachtree Drive about an unresponsive female on the railroad tracks.

The woman, 37-year-old Jenna Wolfe, was allegedly lying on the tracks when he was struck by a Norfolk Southern Train.

Wolfe was dead on arrival, Medic said.

The incident is still under investigation.
