Shots Fired Into Occupied Vehicle In Rowan County

SALISBURY, N.C. – An investigation is underway after someone allegedly shot into another vehicle at an intersection late Wednesday night in Rowan County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Around 11:40 p.m., deputies responded to Majolica Road and Sherrills Ford Road to investigate a shooting.

A victim told them that a vehicle pulled beside him at the intersection and someone inside began firing at his vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.

A passenger in the victim’s vehicle was transported to Novant Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

No other details about the incident were released. It is still under an active investigation.
