CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD needs help from the public to identify the suspect involved in one bank robbery and another attempted bank robbery in the University City area.
Officials say a male suspect entered the Fifth Third Bank on 8601 JM Keyenes Drive on Friday and approached a bank employee. CMPD says that suspect handed the employee a note demanding money, but fled the scene before receiving any money.
Police say the same suspect then entered the Woodforest Bank inside the Walmart on 7735 N. Tryon Street and demanded money shortly before 4 pm on Friday afternoon. Officials said the suspect then fled the scene after receiving the money.
