INDIAN TRAIL, NC — The case of a missing jogger’s death in Union County remains a mystery Tuesday night. The Union County Sheriff’s Office confirms Mark Hudspeth’s body was found Monday night behind Faith United Methodist Church in Indian Trail. Β Hudspeth’s family reported him missing Monday form his home just down the street. Β The church’s pastor says neighbors remain on edge.
“I do think that the anxiety level is a little high,” said Pastor Lonnie Pittman, “because they don’t know what happened. Β And I can’t imagine what the family’s going through, not knowing as well. Β And so our thoughts and prayers definitely go out to them first and foremost.”
The sheriff’s office continues to classify the case as a death investigation until autopsy results are complete.
