UPDATE: Police have identified the victim as 45-year-old Massaquoi Kotay.
Detectives say they believe an altercation inside the business between Kotay and the suspect is what led to the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Officials say one person has been shot and killed in north Charlotte. The shooting was reported Thursday afternoon at the Shops on Sugar Creek business complex on North Tryon Street.
Police say they found a man shot to death inside one of the businesses. No other information has been released at this time. Check back for updates.
