FBI Documents Claim Charlotte Businessman Rick Siskey Was Running “Ponzi” Scheme

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Court documents allege the late prominent Charlotte businessman Rick Siskey was operating a “Ponzi” scheme.

An unsealed FBI affidavit claims Siskey was using investor money to gamble, pay off personal finances and pay off other investors.

Siskey committed suicide on December 28th, two weeks after FBI officials interviewed him about his investments.

During the December 12th interview, court records say Siskey could not provide details of what the assets of TSI Holdings, LLC (Siskey was the executive officer of TSI Holdings, LLC) were that could be used to pay back over 100 investors approximately $19M.

The affidavit claims Siskey ran the “ponzi” scheme from 2011 to 2016.  On December 21st, a federal judge issued an order that claimed Siskey’s home could be subject to forfeiture.
