It’s been nearly a month, but it isn’t over yet. In fact, the FBI investigation into ex-Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon is only expanding. The county has been subpoenaed in the corruption case. Cannon’s own lawyers don’t even know how big the case is, since the feds are still following up on leads they’ve been getting since the affidavit came down last month.
So is it time to give up and take a plea deal? Or should Cannon fight this thing all the way to the courtroom?
