Charlotte Pastor, Wife Expecting Twins After Losing Sons In Crash

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — A Charlotte couple who lost their two sons in a wreck in 2015 has announced they are expecting twins.

Hadley and Gentry Eddings made the announce Sunday on Facebook.

Hadley Eddings thanked those who have prayed for them after the fatal crash in Pender County. Two-year-old Dobbs Eddings died in the wreck. Reed Eddings was delivered at 38 weeks by emergency cesarean but died two days later.

The Eddings say the twins are expected this summer.

Twenty-eight-year-old Matthew Deans of Wilmington has been sentenced to 1 to 3 years in prison for the wreck with the Eddings. Deans pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in September 2015.

Gentry Eddings is a campus pastor at Charlotte’s Forest Hill Church. Hadley teaches 4-year-olds at Forest Hill.
