ALBEMARLE, N.C. — Police say they arrested an 18-year-old woman for shooting two people during a domestic situation in Albemarle. The incident occurred Saturday, August 10, on NC 24/27 Bypass E.
On August 13th, detectives with the Albemarle Police Department along with Norwood Police located the suspect vehicle from the incident, a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, at a home in Norwood.
Amanda Mcauley, age 18 of Norwood, was arrested by the Norwood Police Department.
Mcauley was charged with 2 counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling/vehicle, AWDWISI (assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury), and AWDW (assault with a deadly weapon). Mcauley has been processed at the Stanly County Jail.
One of the women who was injured in the incident was treated and released from the hospital. A second woman is still recovering in the hospital.
