Wonderful Weekend Ahead

Plentiful sunshine will continue over the next several days as Piedmont highs warm well into the 80s.

Happy Friday! The sunshine that has dominated our Carolina blue skies over the past several days continues its reign into the weekend. Unfortunately for those enjoying the cooler weather, summer-like heat steadily builds back into our area through the next several days. Expect highs to approach the mid-80s on Saturday around the Piedmont and Foothills while the High Country enjoys the lower 70s. The heat cranks up a step further on Sunday with highs in the upper 80s around the Metro. Despite the return of the heat, humidity levels will remain seasonably comfortable through the weekend.

Summer will continue its newfound winning streak into the workweek as highs crack the 90s in Charlotte for what should be the first time in over a week on Monday. The dreaded humidity may slowly build back into the Carolinas by midweek as highs crescendo into the mid-to-upper 90s by Thursday. Medium-range models are pointing towards a few isolated showers and storms by the end of the week ahead, but widespread rain doesn’t appear to be in the forecast for the next seven days.
