Four People, One Dog Displaced In West Charlotte House Fire

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Four people and a dog were displaced from their home in west Charlotte after it caught on fire Saturday afternoon.

Around 1:30 p.m., firefighters responded to a home on Bristol Drive and saw smoky conditions coming out the front door. The fire was put out in approximately 14 minutes.

No injuries were reported, but four occupants and a dog were displaced and are receiving assistance from the Red Cross.

Charlotte Fire said the fire started in the laundry room and was accidental. The house suffered approximately $35,000 in damages.
