Rock Hill Police Arrest Man For December Homicide

ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Rock Hill Police say they have arrested a suspect in connection with a December shooting that left one man dead.

On Monday, authorities arrested Dwayne Fitzgerald Sims, 52, and charged him with Murder and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime.  Sims was denied bond.

According to reports, on December 2, 2016, Sims shot and killed Jerry Howard in the 1100 block of Amelia Avenue.

This case is no longer under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
