CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A GoFundMe has been started for the police officer seriously injured in an accident on the I-485 ramp at Mt. Holly Road.
On August 22nd, Wes “Peanut” Rightsell was inside his patrol car when it was struck by an RV. His vehicle rolled over several times.
The crash resulted in one fatality, Rightsell and one other being transported to the hospital.
The fundraiser states that Rightsell suffered nine broken ribs, a broken collarbone and internal bruising.
“This fund is to help with his bills and to show our support for him,” the GoFundMe said. “Thank you for your support.”
