$25K Reward Offered In Gaston County Murder

A $25,000 reward is now being offered to solve a murder, Governor Roy Cooper announced Thursday.

The Bessemer City Police Department is trying to find who murdered 19-year-old Uriah Diondreus McCree. 

It happened on March 22nd, 2022 just before 5:45 p.m.

McCree was found along the roadway shot multiple times along I-85 South near Exit 13 in Bessemer City.

Investigators are looking for a 2012 or later white Dodge Charger with dark-tinted windows, a spoiler and possibly factory-chrome tires. They say it is connected to McCree’s murder.
