Phat Burrito Closing On Saturday
CHARLOTTE, NC– Long lines at Phat Burrito in South End just days before it closes for good. Β The popular Tex-Mex restaurant on Camden Road has been around for almost two decades.
It’s closing on Saturday because of re-development in the area.
Customers say growth is inevitable but say it’s sad to see another part of south end’s culture go away.
“It’s just a great place, like one of the best-kept secrets in Charlotte. My mom’s been coming here for over ten years. We’re really sad to see it close down,” said Erica Marshall.
There was a line of people all afternoon trying to get their Phat Burrito fix before Saturday. Most waited about 20 minutes.
