
ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Police arrested a man with a history of drug trafficking after he was caught dumping drugs out of a car window while police tried to pull over the vehicle he was riding in.
Undercover officers were following Rumple and Tasha Simpson after they allegedly did drug transactions in the Charlotte area.
The driver, Simpson, realized they were being followed and violated several traffic laws trying to get away from police. Rumple is accused of dumping MDMA out of the window of the car.
Police say Simpson drove to Rumple’s home and stopped the car. Rumple is then accused of jumping out of the car and throwing a bag of drugs to his father, who claims he flushed the drugs down the toilet.
After searching the suspects, police found 12 grams of black tar heroin in Simpson’s crouch. She is eight months pregnant.
Rumple was out of jail on a $1,000,000 bond from previous arrests. Now, he faces the following charges: possess with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver MDMA, resist officer, alter and destroy evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was give a $2.5 million bond.
Simpson has been charged with trafficking heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver heroin, fleeing police and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was given a $250,000 bond.
In 2013, police say Humple had drugs hidden in his rectum when he was incarcerated at the Rowan County Jail.
