GASTONIA, N.C. – One person was killed in a car crash in Gastonia on Thursday afternoon.
It happened on Union Road between Niblick Drive and East Hudson Boulevard.
Police said a vehicle, driven by 58-year-old James Auten, crossed the center line and struck another vehicle. Auten was killed in the crash.

There is no word on any other injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
