Police: Argument Breaks Out Between Two Pastors During Bible Study

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police say they were called to a church in Rock Hill after an argument broke out between two pastors. Β

Chesley Simms told police he was conducting a Bible study inside a building on East Main Street in Rock Hill when another pastor entered the building and started a disturbance. Β

Simms said he asked the other pastor, Rodrequez Dover, to leave and had him escorted out of the building. Β Dover told police his church owned the building and they were allowing Simms to use part of the building for his congregation. Β

Dover also told police the only reason he was inside the church was because he thought he left his medicine in the building and was searching for it. Β

Simms told police that Dover’s girlfriend showed up at the church and began arguing with him about making Dover leave. Β Simms said during the argument Dover’s girlfriend pulled out a stun gun and started waving it at him. Β

Police interviewed Dover’s girlfriend who said she never presented a stun gun or threatened anyone with one. Β

No arrests were made in the case. Β The investigation is on-going.
