UPDATE: CMPD says Daniel Dockery II, 17, has been arrested and charged with Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury.

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is investigating the assault of a 15-year-old Friday morning while walking at West Mecklenburg High School.
Officials say the male victim was assaulted around 7:30am while walking on the Tuckaseegee Road campus. The victim told police that he was knocked unconscious by an unknown suspect, according to reports, and was taken to CMC with serious injuries.
Officials say they do have a suspect and warrants have been issued charging them with Felony Aggravated Assault. No arrest has been made at this time, however.
