CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are searching for 19-year-old Sydney Mercer for reportedly cutting off his court ordered electronic monitoring device.
Mercer is accused of cutting off the device on Tuesday morning and was last known to be in the area of Statesville Avenue.
He is wanted for attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, damage to property and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
