TAYLORSVILLE, NC — A 34-year-old man was arrested Monday after investigators say he distributed child pornography to undercover agents.
Johnny Perez was arrested at his home on Boston Road and charged with felony second degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor after an undercover investigation, officials say. According to reports, search warrants were issued on Perez’s electronic devices after he gave material depicting a minor, 8-14 year of age, engaging in sexual acts to an undercover agent.
Perez, a Hispanic male, is also being investigated by ICE to determine his citizenship status. He was given a $100,000 secured bond and is scheduled to make his first court appearance on April 3rd.
