No Charges Expected In Lenoir Pedestrian Involved Accident

LENOIR, NC — Police do not expect charges to be filed on a driver who hit a pedestrian Tuesday night.

The accident happened on US 321 (Blowing Rock Boulevard) near Valencia Place NE around 7:40pm. According to reports, George Wilson III, 44, of Lenoir, was heading north when Keith Millhollen, 61, of Gastonia, stepped out in front of his 2000 Ford Expedition.

Police say Millhollen crossed into the center turn lane and stopped. As Wilson approached, he saw Millhollen and slowed down. Police say Millhollen then stepped out in front of Wilson’s SUV causing the accident.

Millhollen was airlifted to Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee and is currently listed as being in stable condition, according to police.

At this time, Lenoir PD says no charges are expected to be filed in the case.
