Denver Man Sentenced For Killing His Grandmother In 2015

LINCOLNTON, NC — Chadwick Bean, 40, was sentenced Tuesday for the murder of his then 77-year-old grandmother in February 2015.

Bean received a sentence of 250 months minimum and a maximum of 312 months, according to a release, after pleading guilty to Second Degree Murder.

Deputies say Bean stabbed his grandmother, Lucille Punch, to death at her home on February 22, 2015. After a long investigation, Bean was indicted on June 8, 2015 and then arrested three days later.

Deputies have also charged Amber Harris, 30, of Morganton, in connection to the case. She is charged with Accessory After the Fact of a Felony, but has not yet gone to trial.
