Lincolnton N.C. — A Lincoln County man was charged and arrested on April 5th in connection with a child sexual assault.
On March 16th, 2017, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Department of Social Services regarding the sexual assault of a four year old female. The victim, who is related to the offender, disclosed the details of the assault in an interview
Lincoln County Sheriff’s officials arrested Luther Andrew Osborne, age 31, after a polygraph and interview on Wednesday. Osborne was taken before a magistrate and charged with one felony count of Indecent Liberties with a Child and one felony count of Statutory Sex Offense with a Child under 13 years old. The incident in question occurred between March 3rd and March 5th, 2017 while the offender was living on Magnolia Grove Road, Iron Station, N.C.
Osborne was later placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $40,000 secured bond. He had is first appearance in court today.
