Bicyclist Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Public Safety Car

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after a bicyclist was hit by someone driving a public safety vehicle in south Charlotte.

The crash happened on Randolph Road near Sharon Amity Road just before rush hour.  The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police have not said if any charges will be filed in the case.  There is no word on what caused the crash.
