Mild & A Bit Muggy Through The Weekend
Cooler air builds in next week
FEMA added a Fact Check section to their website due to all the false information being spread. https://www.fema.gov/disaster/current/hurricane-helene/rumor-response
Forecast:
Tonight: Isolated evening showers mainly around and north of I-40. Decreasing clouds. Lows: Mid 60s.
Saturday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the low 80s.
Sunday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the low 80s.
Monday: Sunny. Highs in the low 80s.
Tuesday: Cold front arrives in the AM! Much cooler with low humidity. Highs in the low to mid 70s.
Tropics:
- An area of unorganized showers will move into the Gulf of Mexico later this week. There is a medium chance (50%) this develops into a Tropical Depression. Regardless of formation, this will be a Florida rainmaker. This will not head to the Carolinas.
- Hurricane Kirk is now a major hurricane. This is no direct threat to the United States, but large swells and high seas are likely off the Carolina coast late this weekend.
- Tropical Storm Leslie is between Africa and the Lesser Antilles. Leslie is forecast to become a hurricane, but this will stay out to sea.
- There is a tropical wave coming off the coast of Africa. This has a low chance of development, but this could change. Plenty of time to watch it.
Have a wonderful weekend!
