Rape Suspect Wanted In Union County

UNION COUNTY, NC — Deputies need help in locating 29-year-old Luis Alberto Cruz-Rojas accused of rape and sexual assault on a teenage friend.

Officials say Cruz-Rojas allegedly assaulted the victim multiple times earlier this year, and then allegedly assaulted the victim’s mother when he learned of the investigation.

Cruz-Rojas has reportedly left the area driving a 90’s-early 2000’s model Ford Explorer. According to reports, he most recently lived in the Indian Land area, and also had a previous address on Walkup Avenue in Monroe.

Cruz-Rojas is wanted for two counts of Second Degree Rape, Second Degree Kidnapping, and Assault on a Female.
