Union County Sheriff’s SAFE Unit Makes Six Drug Arrests In A Week
UNION COUNTY, NC — The Union County Sheriff’s Officer SAFE (Sheriff’s Alcohol Field Enforcement) Unit made six drug related arrests in one week.
Deputies say multiple traffic stops resulted in the arrests of six suspects and the seizures of a variety of drugs.
The following suspects were arrested and charged last week:
- Christopher Gutierrez Romo, age 38 of Charlotte. He faces a charge of Possession of Cocaine.
- Lisa Rochelle Price, age 38 of Indian Trail. Price faces charges of Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
- Jordan Isaiah Washington, age 19 of Monroe. Washington faces charges of Possession of less than ½ ounce of Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia.
- Jerell Parish Banks, age 23 of Charlotte. Banks faces charges of Possession of Marijuana up to ½ ounce and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia.
- Travone Antonio Maye, age 20 of Charlotte. Maye faces charges of Possession of Marijuana ½ to 1 ½ ounces and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia.
- Tiffany Marie Walls, age 33 of Wilmington. Walls faces charges of Possession of Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
“Not only are these deputies on the road looking for dangerous and impaired drivers, they are constantly looking for ways to keep motorists safe,” said Union County Sheriff Eddie Cathey. “This unit does an outstanding job and the results you see from the past week are only a small percentage of work they generate.”
