YORK, SC — A head on collision left one person dead and two injured Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened on SC49 near Old McKinney Road just before 2pm. Troopers say Milton Green, 20, of Clover, SC, crossed the center line and hit Douglas Cunningham, 65, of Sharon, SC, head on.
The passenger in Cunningham’s vehicle was killed, troopers say. Cunningham was trapped in the vehicle and had to be rescued. Officials say both he and Green were flown to CMC Main for treatment.
Officials say all persons involved were wearing seat belts. No word yet on what may have caused the accident.
Officials have not yet released the name of the victim.
