Armed Man Arrested After Having Weapon On CMS Campus Identified

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Officials say a man was arrested for carrying a weapon on a Charlotte-Mecklenburg School campus in west Charlotte.

Investigators say the suspect, Pascal Moore, was armed with a knife while he was on the campus of Bruns Academy on S. Bruns Ave near West Trade Street Wednesday morning. A witness says they saw Moore slashing several tires in the parking lot.

The Moore reportedly fled the area before police arrived but was taken into custody a short time later.  No injuries were reported.

Moore faces multiple charges including having a weapon on educational property, 2nd Degree Trespassing, Communicating Threats, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Injury to Personal Property.
