Season 12 Of The curse Of Oak Island Premieres Today On the History Channel
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — 12 seasons of action all centered on Oak Island, in Nova Scotia Canada. The island’s mysteries are the focal point of the show and drive that countless others have to find what’s hidden in the money pit. I asked why they named the place on the island deemed most likely to contain treasure, The Money Pit.” One half of the duo of treasure hunting brothers, Marty Lagina replied, “it’s called the money pit because supposedly there’s money in the bottom of it. But so far, mainly 200 years of searchers have just thrown money into it.”
After close to a lifetime of searching the brother haven’t hit their treasure trove but certainly enough to keep them going and enough to keep viewers.
Older brother Rick Lagina says this particular hunt, is one he doesn’t know how to quit. “it’s hard to let go of the dreams you had as a child. And as Marty always says, you know, you read that article. It’s treasure, booby traps, curses, pirates. You know, we’re all little children at heart. Or I hope we do. We hope we are, because it keeps us all young.”
