SPRUCE PINE, NORTH CAROLINA — Following in the footsteps of Asheville and Black Mountain, the Town of Spruce Pine has ended it’s boil water advisory.
A statement posted to Facebook by the Town of Spruce Pine says, “Based on the laboratory analysis of water samples collected from the Town of Spruce Pine Water System on 11/19/2021, water users affected by the water outage are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water used for human consumption.”
This comes nearly eight weeks after hurricane Helene brought catastrophic flooding to western North Carolina.
