UPDATE: During a court appearance Thursday, the District Attorney said that Vazquez performed sex acts on two male students and showed porn to teens during study groups.
The DA said a student came forward last week claiming that Vazquez had promised him an A in his class if he would have a threesome and engage in sexual acts with him.
Officials say Vazquez had been holding study groups at his home for seven students, all 17 to 18-year-old males, since January. Some of the students claimed that he would massage them while they were in their underwear, according to officials, and that he also showed porn to four of them.
Court officials say that Vazquez had sex with two of the male students, and also took pictures of one of the teen’s privates. Vazquez would also use SnapChat at different times to communicate with the teens, according to officials.
Vazquez is charged with 3 counts each of felony Sex Offense with Student and felony Indecent Liberties with Student.
Officials say his bond remains at $165,000 and he is not to have contact with any of the victims. Vazquez’s next appearance is scheduled for May 24th.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A South Meck High School teacher is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with students.
Investigators say Juan Vazquez is facing several charges including indecent liberties with a student and sex acts with a student.
The school’s website says he taught AP and 11th grade English. Vazquez is expected to be in court Thursday afternoon.
The principal sent the following message to parents:
Good evening, South Mecklenburg families. This is Dr. Furr with an important message about an active investigation which may lead to news media coverage. We are working closely with law enforcement regarding an allegation of inappropriate contact with students by a teacher. I want to assure you that I am committed to the physical, social, and emotional safety of all of our students. Upon learning of the allegations, school leadership and CMS Police took immediate action and we will continue to assist law enforcement in any way necessary during this investigation. Additional counseling and other supports will also be provided to our students and families as needed during this process. I realize you may have additional questions about the allegations. Because this is an active investigation I am limited in what I can share, but do not hesitate to contact me if you have additional questions or concerns.
