Take a Musical Trip to Ashville with us: Dr. Geoffrey Whitehead conducts the Charlotte Civic Orchestra in the world premier of Bill Lorraine‘s “Ashville Suite”, a musical excursion through Ashville‘s scenic beauty and interesting venues. Also on the program are the Bach Concerto in A Major for Oboe d‘amor and strings ( BWV 1055), performed by soloist Brenda Casciani, and Felix Mendelssohn: Symphony No. 4 in A major, Op. 90 (Italian). The concert will be performed at Sardis Presbyterian Church, 6100 Sardis Road, Charlotte NC 28270, Sunday October 5th, at 3:30 PM.
