CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is dead following a single-vehicle accident on Sunday Morning.
CMPD says officers responded to the crash in the 4900 block of Central Avenue Sunday morning, at about 1 a.m.
Investigators believeΒ Juan Carlos Camposeco-Perez, 27, was traveling at a high rate of speed and was not wearing a seat belt when his 2002 Ford Explorer struck a tree in the median.
Camposeco-Perez was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by medic. Β There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
It is unknown whether alcohol or drug use contributed to the wreck and the crash is still under investigation.
